Friday 19th February

London Fashion week kicked off to the sound of Dolly Parton as Paul Costelloe’s models graced the catwalk, the clothes where inspired by eighties power dressing and  The Assassination of Jesse James. It was quite clear from today’s shows that black and gold was back in, cropped jackets or over sized coats pinched at the waist are a must have. Hair was kept neat and back as seen at Hakaan or high and sculptured like Jean Pierre Braganza models.

Jena. Theo (winners of fashion fringe 2009) showed us the best way to wear an oversized dress or troussers and still look sexy, whilst Sass & Bide finished off the day with a fierce monochrome and gold palette.

Saturday 20th February

Saturday at fashion week was all about those designers who dare to step on the wild side, we saw a little Unique animal and fur madness, PPQ kept us uniformed in black and gold, whilst Fashion East re-introduced us to the Matrix fantancy and John Rocha gave us an unusual gothic romance.
