‘FASHION FORWARD’ WINNER

The British Fashion Council today announces that designer Louise Goldin will receive Fashion Forward sponsorship for two seasons to show at February 2010 and September 2010 London Fashion Week. The shortlisted designers for this award included Basso & Brooke, Emilio de la Morena, Jean-Pierre Braganza, Osman and Todd Lynn.

Mao Wins Nationals

MaoMao Asada won the women’s Japan Figure Skating National Championships on Sunday to secure a place in the Vancouver Olympic team.

Asada, first after the short program, began the free skate with a triple axel and was solid the rest of the way to finish with 204.62 points for her fourth straight national title.

Zena Marshall dies at the age of 83

zenaThe actress Zena Marshall was one of the first Bond girls in her role as Miss Taro, the Chinese double agent in Dr No (1962). Her character was a secretary at Government House in Kingston, who was working for the villain doctor.

Zena Marshall was born on January 1 1926 and died on 10th July 2009.

Ghost of Michael Jackson

Eagle eye bloggers are writing that the the ghost of Michael Jackson is moving around in his Neverland house after a footage from CNN with Larry King reporting on July 2nd revealed a strange shadow moving across in the background during an exclusive filming at his house. Msnbc.com did source the original footage and there was a shadow, but it turned out that the shadow belongs to Gary, the CNN lighting guy.

Harry Potter star diagnosed with Swine Flu!

Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley Harry Potter, had reportedly taken days off from filming due to being diagnosed with Swine Flu during the filming of the Deathly Hallows. His publicist said “It has just been confirmed that Rupert Grint has taken a few days out of filming due to a mild bout of swine flu,” and “He has now recovered and is looking forward to joining his fellow cast members at the junket and premieres this week and will then return to filming directly afterwards.”

Michael Jackson dies in coma after suffering a cardiac arrest

18 year old Kimberley from Belgium wanted 3 stars,
but woke up to find 56 stars mistakenly tattooed on her face.
Kimberly is reportedly suing the tattooist for £10,000 after having paid £55 for the unwanted stars.
